Overview

I was given the opportunity by Senior User Researcher, Steve Bromeley to assist an indie game studio to find usability issues in the latest updates in their game.

  • Problem: The game development team wanted to evaluate four new features to TENS!, their mobile game, to assess the effectiveness on the overall player experience and satisfaction.

  • Impact: Received a positive testimonial from the Head Game Developer, stating that my research significantly improved the overall user experience.

  • My Role: UX Researcher

My Impact

I was able to present my findings and was given a testimonial afterwards.

Tarak, Head of Development at Kwalee Ltd:

"Working with Ana-Louise on our early-stage build was very enlightening. Her work in running both moderated and unmoderated playtests uncovered key issues that we were then able to address, greatly improving the overall player experience. Ana-Louise was professional and engaging throughout, and her excellent presentation skills made digesting the information much easier."

Methodology

  • Unmoderated Testing: 6 participants

  • Moderated Testing: 2 participants
